Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great long weekend. We started the weekend with a picnic with Mama and Papa at Hampton Park in Charleston by the Citadel. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed chicken salad sandwiches, chips, cookies and fruit. We were there all day. Carter made a friend who shared his bike with Carter and there was a tree that we couldn't keep Carter out of. He managed to climb up in it himself a few times. He also had some help.
Hannah also enjoyed some time on the grass and with her Dad.

The men also had fun feeding the ducks, fish, a turtle and the birds.

On Monday we went to the beach with my brother and family and a couple of my sister-in-laws coworkers and their kids. It was a good time. This picture was right after she woke up from her nap and right before we moved her seat to be in the shade a bit more.

Carter loves the sand 100 times more than the water. Luck for his, he has some great helpers to build castles and get water for the motes.

I love making sand castles with Carter! He's the best castle builder EVER!

Did Hannah escape a sunburn??? I ask because I think Talia still got sun even though Julie kept her covered last summer, so I'm just wondering how to keep Ava from burning this summer as she's as fair if not currently fairer than her Daddy.

She did get a bit burned but more pink than red and she didnt peel.Overall i would say it was successful. They say to put the sunblock on 20 minutes before you get in the sun. We also put it on her almost every hour.
