Hannah laughing

We had asked Carter to go talk to Hannah the other night while we were finishing up making dinner and she was starting to get cranky. The next thing we know we hear this belly rolling laughter. We walk in to see Carter hitting himself or falling over and Hannah laughing every time. This is the fist time she has really laughed. Other than this it is more like a chuckle. Carter loves it.

The birds

Last weekend we were getting ready for the day and we heard a couple of thumps against our bedroom window. I looked out to our neighbors tree and saw it fill of birds. They were going to town eating the berries on the tree. I guess they were making them drunk and then they were flying into our windows. Carter stood on his bed and watched them for a long time. It was funny.

Daddy's way

I asked Jon to vacuum yesterday as we were cleaning the house. Hannah was playing in her exersauser, Carter was doing something and I was working in the kitchen. When I came around the corner, this is what I saw. I said, "WHAT?" He turned off his vacuum and said, "What? She is okay." I let her stay there just because he was right there vacuuming but anyone who has kids knows that Daddys always do it different than Mommy.

Fridge fixing

I had heard some clicking sounds coming from the kitchen Saturday night a couple of weeks ago but we were watching a movie and I didn't look into it. Well Sunday morning when I went to go get Carter's strawberry milk, I noticed the fridge was a bit warmer than it should be and the freezer too comfirmed that something was wrong. So Jon decided that the coils should be cleaned but when he took off the front part he saw that the coils were v shaped and were not very accessible. So he came back from the garage with some food storage cans. I said, "You are not going to put the fridge on those are you?" Of course he was. So he lifted the fridge and I put the cans under neath. The picture is him vacuuming the coils of the fridge. It brings a whole new meaning to being prepared. The coils were not the problem and thanks to great friends who had an empty, running fridge in their garage, we didn't loose much of anything. How come these things always happen on Sundays?

Carter's kisses

Carter does not like to be kissed. Well he will let you kiss him but then 95% of the time he wipes it off. The other night I kissed him on the cheek and he went to wipe it off and he saw me looking at him so he just held his hand on his cheek. I asked him if he was wiping it off and he said that he wasn't but that he was holding it on. That was so cute I thought until he then took his hand off his face and asked me if I would wipe the kiss off. Oh well. It is a great victory for Jon or I if we manage to sneak in a kiss without him wiping it off.

Hannah's Blessing

We were so lucky to be able to have such a large group together for Hannah's blessing. It was a great weekend.

We were also able to celebrate Carter's 4th birthday while everyone was in town. He had a monster truck cake and a monster truck pinata. He was happy just to have so many cousins to play with. He is lucky to have so many that are his age.

Last but not least we were able to gather for Hannah to be sealed to us. It was a beautiful experience and again we are blessed to have been able to have so many dear friends and family to join us.

My sister-in-law Krystal took over 400 pictures of the event. I would love to put them all on but that would take the rest of my life. Thanks Krystal. The pictures are great even if my daughter doesn't smile as much as your does.
We missed those of you who could not make it for any reason.
