Birth announcement photo shoot

We were having our own photo shoot last weekend. Here is one of the cute ones that didn’t make in onto the birth announcements.

Visiting friends

We went to go visit my college room mate in Greenville last weekend. Her son was born on my birthday so he is 7 weeks older than Hannah. He was trying to hold her hand and put his arm around her. She didn’t want to look at him. Daddy was happy. It was great to see them.

Corn maze

Carter was able to go the corn maze with Jon and the Young Men the other night. As Carter headed out he had his own flashlight and he decided that he needed a hat so her took the Successful Farming hat my Dad gave to Jon and decided that was a good one to keep his head warm.

Morning cartoons

This morning they both ended up in our bed (We were already up). Carter was drinking his strawberry milk and she was full from her bottle. Carter said that she kept knocking over his sippy cup but I don't think it was her fault as much as it was the uneven blanket.

Family story time

Jon was holding Hannah Sunday night and Carter brought him a book to read to him so this is how it ended up.

Pumpkin carving

While Grandma and Grandpa were here, we carved some pumpkins. Carter liked the idea until he saw inside the first one. We still had fun. In NY we had to worry about them freezing after they were carved but in SC you have to carve them late because they start to grow things inside. I will spare you all those pictures.

Halloween

Here is our little ladybug. One of the young women is holding her. Something tells me she is not going to have very good memories from her first Halloween.

Here is the rest of the family. Carter was not thrilled about being a boxer. He only agreed to it to get candy. I guess the date was wrong on the camera because it really was Halloween that all happened.

This is a better one of Carter. Both Jon and Carter won prizes in the costume contest.

A little bigger

Here is picture from tonights bath. She has gotten a bit bigger than this one taken when she was 2 weeks old.

Cool hat

The other day we were leaving for work and when we opened the door Carter realized it was cold. He wanted to wear a hat and so he grabbed Jon's fishing style hat and put it on. Jon told him that he looked cool in that hat and Carter agreed. When he got in the car he told Jon that Jon could wear it. Jon asked if he was sure and Carter said that he was so Jon took the hat. They said their good byes and we took off for Lisa's house. Carter was making sad noises from the backseat and I asked him what was wrong. He proceeded to tell me that he had been cool with the hat on but now he was sad because Jon had taken the hat from him and now he wasn't cool any more. When i told Jon the story later, he felt so bad but I told him that I had reassured Carter that he was still cool even though he did not have the hat on any more.
